Another month in the year of waiting… Or something.
Still waiting to get vaccinated, though at least it should happen soon. But when will this whole craziness end? I have no idea; I’m just disliking people more and more.
Don’t worry, though; I still like cats. And the biker kitty from the photo got some tuna the other day.
So, what’s new, other than waiting for the whole thing to end already? Nothing much. I’m working, when there’s work, and in the meantime, reading and watching stuff. These days, it’s mostly reading.
Currently reading: Women, Work & the Art of Savoir Faire: Business Sense and Sensibility by Mireille Guiliano. Unusual for me, I know. Basically, I wanted something easy after reading Ice by Jacek Dukaj (science fiction and a lot more, a novel of 1,500 pages). And how’s that easy book going? All right, I guess. I’m not its target audience, but it’s still an interesting read.
Recently read: Ice by Jacek Dukaj. Polish science fiction and alternate history and a bit of steampunk and philosophy and comedy and a crime novel and sociology and a lot more. There are so many different things in this book you’d think they can’t possibly work well together, and yet, they do. Not an easy read, but better than most books I’ve read in the recent years.
And not an easy read is a good thing.
Currently watching: now that The Stand is over (while I don’t like everything in it, I’ve enjoyed it a lot), American Gods. The series slowed down quite a bit, but it’s still interesting, and I’m still enjoying it.
Currently working on: work, when there’s any. Sometimes there is, sometimes there isn’t, and that’s when I read.
That would be pretty much it (exciting, isn’t it? Not.), see you next time!
